Rushdie's return to fiction
Salman Rushdie's new collection of novellas and short stories, "The Eleventh Hour", covers birth, death, and farewells. They are his first published works of fiction since he was assaulted on stage, in 2022, by a man with a knife, who is now serving 25 years in prison. Mr Rushdie has been speaking to James Coomarasamy about story-telling and freedom of speech.
