Rugby legends compete in charity match for MND
The annual 745 match to raise funds and awareness for Motor Neurone Disease took place over the weekend.
The number 745 reflects the individual shirt numbers worn by three inspiring rugby legends; Rob Burrow (#7), Former Leicester Tigers player Ed Slater (#4), and Doddie Weir (#5), who are all affected by MND.
The game, a hybrid of Rugby League and Rugby Union rules, was an idea that Burrow and Slater were developing before Burrow passed away in June 2024, aged just 41.
Fans at the game gave their reaction along with former Rugby Union Player Joe Marler. And Ed Slater's father-in-law Martyn Thompson spoke to 麻豆社 Leicester's Ady Dayman.
