British boy band East 17 are to perform at Melton's Christmas lights switch-on event.

The ‘90s pop act is one of three groups set to take to the main stage as part of the town's festive celebrations.

East 17 are best known for their festive single "Stay another Day" which which was Christmas Number One in 1994.
