Sherwani of Stourport: Forever hockey's hero
The 1988 Olympic gold meal-winning forward was a gentleman 'on and off the pitch'. Hear tributes from Steve Taylor, who played alongside Sherwani at Stourport Hockey Club.
He tells Toni McDonald how Sherwani made a huge impact on his first appearance for Stourport and set up a legendary club partnership, which would translate in to the sport's most memorable moment in the sun, at the 1988 Olympics.
Sherwani represented GB and England a combined 94 times and worked as director of hockey at a school in Staffordshire.
