Sedgefield waste plant plans dismissed
Plans for a large biodegradable waste plant on the outskirts of Sedgefield have been dismissed by the planning inspectorate. More than 800 residents and businesses from across the region opposed the proposals which had initially been approved by Durham County Council last year warning that "businesses could fail" if it were to go ahead.
