Rower trainer Keith Hiley described the scene at Pitchcroft as something from 'The Italian Job', with all four wheels of the stricken black Audi off the ground, balancing on the steps leading down to the River Severn.

The incident happened on Monday 1 December 2025 at Worcester Rowing Club, narrowly surviving plunging in to the river.
