North East hospitals wait times better than expected
NHS wait times for December were generally between 15 and 35 minutes, compared to some hospital trusts that were regularly seeing handover times of up to two hours.
But doctors working in emergency departments across the country say it's "absolutley critical" to end corridor care and long wait times.
The Royal College of Emergency Medicine says politicians need to take action after it emerged some NHS hospitals are adapting corridors to provide care.
