'We've got to restore that trust in our democracy'
The MP for Middlesbrough South and East Cleveland, Luke Myer, wants to see lying in politics become a criminal offence to improve trust in politics.
MPs are due to vote on the The Public Office Accountability Bill, which currently would make it a crime for just senior politicians such as the Prime Minister and Cabinet Ministers to lie to the public.
But, Luke Myer has put forward a change to the Bill which would see the rule to apply to all politicians. He joined Amy Oakden.
