The Saltburn DJ who rubbed shoulders with Fatboy Slim
From a childhood in working men’s clubs across Teesside in the 60s and 70s, to disappearing to London age 17, clinching big record deals in the 80s and playing the famous clubs of Ibiza in the 90s rubbing shoulders with everyone from Grace Jones to Fatboy Slim.
It's not a work of fiction, that’s Sally Rodgers’ story so far. Sally is one half of pioneering electronic music duo, A Man Called Adam.
Now living back by the sea in Saltburn, Sally’s turned her attention to putting Teesside on the map by teaming up with the likes of Mima and Teesside University.
Sally has been telling Anna Murray how she used her childhood on Teesside to bring her global success and take her from the Boro to the Balearic Islands and back again.
