Mabe Donkey charity raises 拢43K in just 24 hours
The Flicka Foundation, a charity and donkey sanctuary based in Mabe, near Penryn, has raised a huge amount of money in a short time.
It provides rescue, rehabilitation and lifelong sanctuary care for donkeys who have suffered abuse, neglect or abandonment. During the recent storms, water rose up from underneath Bilbo鈥檚 Barn, which houses their most vulnerable donkeys.
The charity put out a plea to help fund repairs on Friday evening and had an overwhelming amount of support raising 拢43,000 in just 24 hours. That figure is still rising.
Laurie Stephenson, the Director and Trustee of the Flicka Foundation, has been speaking to Mel Osborne.
