Cumbria NHS dentistry at a 'crossroads'
Roll out of Urgent Dental Access Centres in region now complete. But dentist Shav Pabary thinks provision is still in an 'existential crisis', and 'if we don't get this right it will be difficult to see NHS dentistry has a future'. Carlisle is one of 23 operating across the North East and North Cumbria, which have seen more than 41,000 patients since 2024 who didn't have a dentist.
