'Palliative care can be really rewarding'
Health and social care students at Redcar and Cleveland College are creating comfort packages for patients coming to the end of their lives.
As part of their course the sixth formers need to learn about palliative care so their lecturer came up with the project to help them get a practical understanding of what can be a difficult subject.
The packs contain items such as hand lotions, blankets, fairy lights and crystal angels to support emotional and physical wellbeing for patients in their final weeks, or even days.
Claudia Robinson went to meet lecturer Andrew Johnson and some of his students at the college.
