Waiting times cut for cancer diagnosis
There's been a big improvement in the time people are waiting for a cancer diagnosis.
According to figures from Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital Trust up to November 2025, nearly 86% of people were diagnosed - or had cancer ruled out - within four weeks. The national target is 80%.
It marks a dramatic turnaround from a year ago, when the Trust was ranked last in the country for meeting the 28鈥慸ay Faster Diagnosis Standard. It is now the second鈥慴est performing Trust in England.
