Kidderminster icon returns thanks to people-power
The Museum of Carpet will open its doors during February half-term, the first time since its permanent closure two months ago.
Trustees are working on a longer-term plan for the attraction, following a 拢50,000 funding boost from Wyre Forest District Council prompted in part by the huge public support shown to the museum.
Geoffrey Gilbert from the museum's trust tells Felicity Kvesic how the venue will eventually become rebranded as Kidderminster Museum, expanding its focus beyond carpets, to show a wider range of local history.
