It's transported locals and visitors to and from Whitby's beach for nearly a hundred years, but ground to a halt in 2022.

Whitby's cliff lift has fallen into disrepair and North Yorkshire Council says repair and maintenance costs could end up being over 拢5 million.

But local people aren't happy and want it back in operation.
