A rare UK performance from American musical legend and Grammy, Golden Globe and Oscar winner Christopher Cross. With an incredible set of iconic 80s tunes it’s a real joy to welcome him into the Radio 2 Piano Room to play with the Â鶹Éç Concert Orchestra orchestral versions of his songs ‘Arthurs Theme (Best That You Can Do)’ and ‘Sailing’, as well as a cover of a 1960s track from The Zombies.   
Christopher talks Vernon Kay about writing with Burt Bacharach and Carole Bayer Sager for the 1981 Dudley Moore film ‘Arthur’, working as a runner in the 1970s for Led Zeppelin and Ginger Baker, and hanging out with Paul McCartney!  Orchestral arrangements by Adam Dennis.
