Witham's roadworks: when will they end?
Eleven years after they began, the longest running roadworks in the UK are set to be delayed even further. Temporary traffic lights have been on the bridge in Witham which connects the Essex town to the southbound A12 since 2015.
Work to repair the bridge was due to start by the end of 2025, but it has now emerged they are unlikely to begin until at least 2027.
