Reliving London's 'wildest year' 1996 at the Barbican
A new exhibition takes in the music, fashion, sport and politics of 1996.
There an exhibition on at the Barbican Music Library called 鈥�1996: 30 Years On鈥� 鈥� the wildest year of Britain鈥檚 wildest decade".
The exhibition explores a landmark year in UK culture through music, fashion, sport and politics; the free show features items from acts like Oasis and Spice Girls, alongside figures such as Jarvis Cocker and Paul Oakenfold, capturing the height of 鈥楥ool Britannia鈥� when Britpop, club culture and major cultural moments 鈥� from Trainspotting to UEFA Euro 1996 鈥� defined the era.
