Southgate on the challenges facing young men
Sir Gareth Southgate has said apprenticeships 鈥榟ave become a dirty word鈥 as he looks to tackle the issues facing young men when it comes to education and work.
Speaking to Amol Rajan for the Today programme about his new documentary, 'Changing the Game for Young Men', the former England men鈥檚 football manager said the issue is 鈥渃omplex鈥 and pointed out that a lack of positive male role models can lead to boys looking elsewhere for guidance.
The former footballer was also asked about England鈥檚 World Cup prospects, enthusing that he gets to 鈥渂ecome an England fan again鈥 after standing down as manager in 2024.
