The Worcester writer's journey was ignited by a lockdown workshop and has blossomed in to becoming the 2026-7 Worcestershire Poet Laureate.

Jay tells Nina how her writing came hand-in-hand with her gender transition, finding a way to express things she didn't know she needed to express. Supported by her family, including her new partner, she has embarked on starting her own publishing company and inspiring countless others.
