Winner of the 2026 Fundraiser award, the Aldred family
Following Ben's cardiac arrest in Australia, the family have been fundraising for CRY.
The family are members of Bexley Cricket Club and since 2023 have raised 拢82,740 for CRY after Ben suffered a cardiac arrest in 2022 while playing cricket in Australia. He survived thanks to prompt CPR & access to a defibrillator.
On Ben's return from Australia he teamed up with CRY to raise funds to prevent this from happening to other young people and set up the Ben Aldred MyHeart Fund. The money raised to date has allowed 122 men and women between the age of 16-34 years of age to be screened with more due in 2027.
