Covid-19: Malawi president urges prayer and fasting
Malawi has registered just under 2500 cases and 40 deaths.
Malawi's new president Lazarus Chakwera has called on citizens to join him for three days of prayer and fasting to help contain the spread and impact of coronavirus.
Representatives of the West African regional grouping, Ecowas, led by former Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan, are in Mali and have met President Ibrahim Boubacar Ke茂ta, Prime Minister Boubou Ciss茅 and an influential Imam in the country.
