Mohamed Bazoum declared winner of Niger election
It is Niger's first transition from one democratically elected leader to another, but the losing candidate, former president Mahamane Ousmane, has alleged fraud.
The electoral commission in Niger says the ruling party's candidate Mohamed Bazoum has won the presidential election with more than 55% of the vote.
Plus, Makhtar Diop, a former finance Minister in Senegal has made history by becoming the first African to be appointed managing director of the International Finance Corporation.
