Senegal court orders release of opposition leader Ousmane Sonko
Detained Senegalese opposition leader Ousmane Sonko has been granted bail.
Senegal's detained opposition leader, Ousmane Sonko, has appeared in court in the capital Dakar and charged with rape following his arrest last week. The judge has since ordered his release on bail. His arrest last week sparked widespread protests in which five people were killed.
