Tanzania has begun 14 days of national mourning for President John Magufuli, after his death was announced by vice president Samia Suluhu Hassan on Wednesday evening.

Opposition leader Tundu Lissu, who competed against John Magufuli in last year鈥檚 presidential election, tells Focus on Africa, 鈥渕y first reaction was one of huge relief鈥�, but called President Magufuli鈥檚 death 鈥渧ery sad鈥�.
