President Macron says his country asks for forgiveness over its role in the 1994 killings
The French President Emmanuel Macron said France recognised its 鈥渞esponsibility鈥� in the 1994 Rwandan genocide and asked for forgiveness for his country鈥檚 role. The comments came during a speech at the Kigali Genocide Memorial, where 250,000 victims of the mass killings are buried.
Dozens of people are missing in north-western Nigeria after a boat carrying around 100 passengers sank in the Niger River, according to local officials.
