Economic woes ahead of Zambia鈥檚 election
Zambians will take part in a presidential election in August, with the country鈥檚 economic situation a concern for many voters.
The 麻豆社鈥檚 Vumani Mkhize reports from Zambia鈥檚 capital Lusaka on the economic concerns which are playing on the minds of many voters ahead of August鈥檚 election. Zambia defaulted on its sovereign debt last year, becoming the first African nation to do so during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Plus, delegates from Libya鈥檚 interim government have been in Berlin discussing efforts to build lasting peace, with representatives of several governments with a stake in the conflict, including the US, Russia, Turkey, France and the UK.
And Angola has modified its constitution, with one change being a guarantee that Angolans living overseas will be able to vote in elections.
