International medicine students in Ukraine denied online lectures

Some students say they were threatened with fines if they missed in-person lectures which pressured them to stay and become stranded in Ukraine when the war broke out.

International students studying medicine in Ukraine have told the 麻豆社 how universities rejected their pleas for lectures to be moved online, encouraging them to stay in the country in the lead-up to the Russian invasion.

Plus, a historical deal has been reached to tackle global plastic pollution and its Rwanda taking the driver's seat. We'll be hearing from Rwanda's Minister of the Environment.
