CHOGM: Togo and Gabon set to become members of the Commonwealth
Talks are underway in Rwanda and include a vote on the inclusion of the two countries.
The Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Rwanda鈥檚 capital Kigali will also look at climate change, poverty and food insecurity. Togo and Gabon will be the latest countries to become members of the union that have no ties to Britain.
In Cameroon鈥檚 Far North Region climate change is amongst the factors blamed on dwindling water resources which have caused conflicts between herders, farmers and fishermen competing for scarce resources.
And in South Africa coal producers are struggling to keep up with demand as the war in Ukraine affects the prices of oil and gas.
