The president of Democratic Republic of Congo, Felix Tshisekedi, has warned that his country could be on the brink of a war with Rwanda amid worsening relations between the two neighbours.
At least 300 suspected Boko Haram militants are on the run after gunmen from the extremist group attacked a prison in the Nigerian capital, Abuja.
And in South Africa, thousands of people have gathered for the funeral service of 21 teenagers who died while attending a party in East London.
