The World Health Organization has issued a global alert over four cough syrups, which it says could be linked to the deaths of dozens of children in The Gambia. The medicines in question were produced by Indian company Maiden Pharmaceuticals, which has yet to comment. We speak to the country鈥檚 health services director Mustapha Bittay.

Plus, Mozambique is marking five years since the insurgency in the province of Cabo Delgado began. More than 4,000 people have been killed, and over a million others have been forced to flee their homes, with many still unable to return.
