World leaders and those from around Africa are gathering in Egypt as the COP27 climate summit gets underway. UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres warned the meeting that the world is “on a highway to climate hell with our foot still on the accelerator.” Faten Aggad from the African Climate Foundation tells us what countries from the continent are hoping to get out of the talks.
Plus, we speak to William Ruta, who took part in rescue efforts after a plane crashed into Lake Victoria in Bukoba, Tanzania, killing 19 people. William runs a bar on the shore of the lake, and went into the water along with other local people following the crash.
And DJ Edu links up with Mozambique’s DJ Tarico, who talks about spanning different genres and the influence of his own country’s music.
