Somaliland troops withdraw from disputed town

Their withdrawal comes after days of violent demonstrations.

Soldiers in Somaliland have withdrawn from a contested town near the border of Somalia after days of protest. Opposition parties accused troops of killing 10 people last week during the demonstrations. The town is claimed by both Somaliland and Puntland, a region in northern Somalia.

A government policy limiting the number of jobs in the public health service has left many doctors out of work in Cameroon.
