Kenya's president and opposition leader agree to talks
President William Ruto and opposition leader Raila Odinga agree to hold talks aimed at ending two weeks of anti-government protests.

Javas Bigambo, a lawyer and political strategist based in Nairobi, says the president's decision to reverse his stance and agree to dialogue should be seen as a sign of magnanimity, rather than a climbdown.
