Sudan's 24-hour ceasefire appears to be faltering following reports of heavy gunfire.
A 24-hour truce in the Sudanese capital, Khartoum appears to be faltering, with reports of heavy gunfire coming in. The ceasefire was agreed between two rival military leaders.
A fresh five-year mandate for Cameroon's senators has begun. The ruling Cameroon People's Democratic Movement party recently swept all 70 elective posts, whilst the remaining 30 senators were appointed by President Paul Biya.
