Meeting settlers and Palestinians in the West Bank
Settler attacks in the West Bank have reached a record high, says the UN.
Attacks by Jewish settlers on Palestinians in the occupied West Bank have broken UN records this year, reaching the highest level in almost 20 years.
Israel鈥檚 Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has blamed a 鈥渕inority鈥 that 鈥渄oes not represent the large settler public鈥. Meanwhile, Israel鈥檚 security cabinet has just approved the recognition of 19 new settlements as the government continues its settlement expansion push.
We鈥檙e joined by the 麻豆社鈥檚 Sarah Montague who has been speaking with Palestinians who say they are experiencing settler intimidation, and with a prominent settler who is a member of the Israeli parliament.
