In the first of two episodes featuring artists from Africa’s smallest nation, Seychelles, we meet Gunz, one of the country’s most popular musicians. He is a rapper known for his freestyling and dancing, who blends Creole with English in his lyrics about life on the street.
Gunz launched his solo career in 2016, the year after his trio Zanfan Move dropped the banger Leson lo Leson – a song credited with changing the game in Seychelles. Since then he has been branching out, collaborating with G Nako from Tanzania and General Remy from Mauritius.
