In the more accurate quantum mechanical description, the probability of toast landing buttered side down is directly related to the cost of the carpet. If we attach a piece of quantum toast to the back of a classical cat, then the cat will only hover temporarily (longer over a more expensive carpet) before landing feet down. This resolves the paradox.
Clearly a complete theory will also require a quantum description of the cat. Perhaps one of your other listeners could help?

We have them around our untidy house because I snore. She treats them like babies and carries them round in her mouth, and speaks to them like kittens. We even collect them for her, so she has spares.
Perhaps we have nothing in our lives, or love or invest our feline family with anthropromorphic values? The kids think we're sad....
