Like most 9 year olds, Alex would like few things more than a bit of a kickabout in the sunshine with his mates.
But he has a condition known as XP – Xeroderma pigmentosum, a skin disorder effecting about 1 in a million, so Alex must avoid sunlight.
Alex andparents Sandra and Steve and sister Holly, have done a pretty good job of working out how best to live with the condition.
