The day before, I'd started on our Christmas card list and had made some headway, but still had a lot to do. So from about mid-afternoon I'd commandeered the table and, teeth gritted, vowed to plough on until the end was at least in sight on the far horizon. The only break I took was to take this picture at the start of PM, and it was strangely encouraging to think that I was part of an unknown crowd of like-minded people, all pausing in their everyday activities for precisely the same reason ~ simply to record that particular moment in their lives.
