Fathers and daughters in business together 3 Dec 2007
Enzo and Phillipa
Do fathers and daughters make good business partners?

If you’ve been listening to the Woman’s Hour Drama, 'Dombey and Son' by Charles Dickens you will know of the agonies that Paul Dombey Senior goes through to provide a male heir for his business and the brutal way in which he ostracises his daughter Florence. In today’s world she might have been a worthy business partner and successor.

So do fathers and daughters make good business partners?ÌýJane talks to Enzo and Philippa Maffioli about the benefits and drawbacks of working together. They run a financial services business; a relationship which they trace back to the time when Enzo gave Phillipa the book 'Child’s Guide To the Stock Exchange' at the age of 8!
