The Catholic Feminist 21 Mar 2008
Is there a place for feminism in Catholicism?

For some of us, the Easter weekend will involve a visit to church. However, the Catholic Church, as well as being a source of spiritual sustenance,Ìýis seen by some to be sendingÌýconfusing messages about the role of women in today's society.
With the Vatican's hard line on issues such as theÌýordination of women priests and birth control,ÌýÌýJane talks to Catherine Pepinster, the Editor of the Catholic publication 'The Tablet' and Pat Brown, from the Catholic Women's Ordination Group, aboutÌýwhether there's a place for feminists within the Catholic church.
