Why are men more likely to dieÌýfrom drug abuse?

New figures show that men are four times more likely to die from illicit use as women, though they’re onlyÌýtwice as likely to be taking drugs in the first place. So what is it about men and their lifestyles that make them so much more likely to suffer a drugs related death?

Jenni is joined byÌýMick Holmes; a former drug user who nowÌýworks as a counsellor for social care organisationÌýTurning Point and Dr Mark Simpson; Assistant Dean in the School of Social Science and Law at the University of Teeside.
