Cleaning Stately Homes 19 May 2006
If you think that spring cleaning your home is a chore, imagine cleaning a stately home or an historic house. The National Trust have recently compiled a manual of housekeeping containing lots of useful tips gleaned from years of experience. You can find out how to buff your brasses, shine your chandeliers or preserve the family silver.

Sue Elliott Nicholls went to Ham House near Richard in Surrey and in the kitchen met Helen Lloyd to find out how they look after their copper.

The National Trust Manual of Housekeeping is published by Elsevier, ISBN: 0750655291.
