Ìý Summer drinks to keep you cool Thursday 7 August 2003 Ìý
Summer drinks to keep you cool Now yesterday saw record temperatures for the U.K. and we reacted with our usual national flair - railway tracks buckled, motorways melted, commuters wilted and camels appeared in Bakewell, Derbyshire though I'm assured this is due to local racing traditions rather than severe global warming.

It looks set to continue today so if you're sweltering in a traffic jam with a throat like sand paper then be warned - the next few minutes could be absolute torture. I'm joined by Christine Tilbury from the Cordon Vert cookery school in Altrincham who has some refreshing ideas for the perfect, ice cool summer drink.

Lime & Coconut Fizz
Ginger Juice & Strawberry Splash
