Ìý Paupers and Palaces - songs for Clumber Park Friday 6 February 2004 Ìý
Few people visiting the beautiful grounds of Clumber Park on the edge of Sherwood Forest near Worksop realise that this was once home to one of the most lavishly built, exquisite houses of the 18th century.

Demolished in 1938, there is now virtually no trace of the house nor indeed of the Ducal family who lived there. But now composer Sally Brown has brought the house and its inhabitants to life.
Sally joins Martha to explain how she created the music as part of her Out of Silence project to revive the house and the inspiration she found in the forgotten stories of the Ducal family.
Songs of the hidden stories of the Ducal family will be sung by the Out of Silence choir, Saturday 7 February at Southwell Minster, Nottingham
