It鈥檚 almost time for us to be moving on again. I鈥檝e really enjoyed our time in Nairn. There鈥檚 been some good weather, and even better than that, Seanair鈥檚 been bitten by the golf bug! I鈥檇 much rather a nice game of golf to heading up the highest, biggest, steepest hill around.

As usual, our stay has been very educational. Not only have I learnt a bit more Gaelic, but I think the rest managed to keep up too! (And I鈥檝e learnt that if you return Seanair鈥檚 golf balls before they fall in that little hole, he gets quite upset!)

Abair seachdain a tha air a bhith againn! What a week we鈥檝e had! The Jazz festival lasted eight days, and we heard some really great music! Even I was impressed 鈥� some real tail-wagging stuff! We were all having some quite late nights, and even Seanair had to have a long lie or two!

There was also the Scottish 6-Day International Orienteering Championships in Grantown on Spey; what a mouthful! Seanair and I decided that we鈥檇 give it a go. There was a lot of serious competition, but I think we managed to do quite well. There were a couple of places where I may have led Seanair the wrong way, but really that just let us see more of the countryside! It鈥檚 important to know your environment in situations like these!

We may not have finished in first place, but I think we definitely showed that in the senior and canine division, we have no equals!

H脿lo a ch脿irdean! Tha sinn ann an Inbhir Narann! I keep thinking that after such a great year, there鈥檚 no way that each new place we visit can offer us anything more, and I鈥檓 always wrong! This is just as great a place as any we鈥檝e visited all year!

As usual, everyone else has been running around, trying to see as much as possible. There鈥檚 the Nairn International Jazz Festival this month, which starts on the 4th, so we haven鈥檛 got much time beforehand! But I鈥檓 sure we鈥檒l squeeze something in.

I鈥檒l have to be off just now. Seanair鈥檚 got a 鈥渨alkies鈥� look in his eyes. You鈥檇 think he鈥檇 be old enough by now to go out on his own!
