Hai! Tha mi an d貌chas gu bheil c霉isean a鈥� dol gu math!

We鈥檝e been having a great time! The Hebridean Celtic Festival was unbelievable! There were great acts! The Proclaimers played on Friday night 鈥� they鈥檝e got a song on the film 鈥淪hrek鈥�.

We also saw Seth Lakeman, who Melodaidh seemed to really like鈥� And there was the Peatbog Faeries the following night, who are another great band! There was too much to mention it all! But it was simply amazing!!!! :D I鈥檓 definitely going to be downloading some new tracks!

And that event Seanair said I鈥檇 enjoy? Turns out it was a traditional Highland Games! It was incredible! :) There was the caber toss, which is what everyone thinks of with Highland Games!

But I learnt that they鈥檙e not trying to throw it as far as they can, but actually how straight it is when it hits the ground. Weird, eh?

There were lots of other events too, and lots of stuff for the spectators to try. The place was filled with stalls! There was also some Highland dancing, which Melodaidh really enjoyed watching. She gave it a go, and was surprisingly good for someone trying it for the first time!

I鈥檓 kinda tired, and Melodaidh is wanting to get some blogging done, so I鈥檇 best be off. T矛oraidh an-dr脿sta!

D猫 tha dol? Tha sinn ann an Le貌dhas, an t-eilean as motha anns na h-Eileanan Siar.

There鈥檚 a lot of Gaelic culture here, and Melodaidh loves it! We hear Gaelic being spoken all over the place. It鈥檚 quite cool to be able to understand what they鈥檙e saying! 听It鈥檚 helped my Gaelic a lot, hearing it all the time, and being surrounded by it. It鈥檚 coming more naturally to me now, which is a lot better then when I was stumbling through conversations!

There鈥檚 a big festival 鈥� the Hebridean Celtic Festival 鈥� coming up soon. Of course, if you are in the know, you simply refer to the 鈥楬eb Celt鈥�.

Most of the stuff I鈥檝e heard this year鈥檚 been pretty good, so it should be a blast! There鈥檚 also some other event coming up which Seanair says I鈥檒l really enjoy. I hope it鈥檚 aimed more at my kinda of fun than his鈥�
