In the early 50's, I well remember riding the trams in Lochee, Dundee. My cousins and I would race up the spiral staircase to the top of the tram, to try to get the front seats! Wonderful, nostalgic memories!!!

I was brought up on Victoria Road in Dundee and what I remember is the SILENCE when the trams stopped running. I used to lie awake listening for the clatter that had gone forever.

My Gran and Grampa lived on Logie Street, Lochee, Dundee and I would love riding the trams one conductor used to scare me me by dropping his top teeth down. Everyone else laughed. I loved riding to the end of the line in Lochee. Trams played a big part in our lives. Clang, Clang!!
