鈥楻ound Midnight is presented by award-winning saxophonist Soweto Kinch. This weekday late-night show celebrates the thriving UK jazz scene and spotlights the best new music alongside incredible acts from past decades. Soweto鈥檚 guest this week is East London-born, Nottingham based singer Yazmin Lacey. She draws everything from jazz, R&B, soul and electronic influences into her music, and most recently has collaborated with fellow leading UK lights including Ezra Collective and Joe Armon-Jones. Yazmin鈥檚 new album Teal Dreams releases this Friday. Ahead of it, Yazmin has four albums to share for our 4/4 series, which will take us into her musical world. To start her week, Yazmin chooses a favourite album from a Melbourne group who have forged a distinctive sound. Also in the programme, there is music from Milena Casado, DoomCannon, and Mulatu Astatke. To listen on most smart speakers, just say: 'Ask 麻豆社 Sounds to play Round Midnight.'
